Former Nevada Woman Died Thursday
Mrs. Edith Davis, an earlier day resident of Nevada, died Thursday [March 21, 1940] in a Chicago hospital, according to word reaching friends in Nevada.
The body will be brought to Nevada, arriving here Saturday morning on the Northwestern Mountain Bluebird, at 10:10 and taken directly to the Nevada cemetery, where there will be brief services at the grave, after which she will be interred by the body of her husband, the late Harry Davis, who died about 5 years ago.
The only son Gould Davis will accompany the body.
Mrs. Davis whose maiden name was Edith Lewis, lived in Nevada as a girl and here she was married to Harry Davis, then in the office of produce firm of Boardman Brothers.
Later Mr. and Mrs. Davis moved to Illinois wher they had lived in the vicinity of Chicago since, more recently at Evanston.
She was probably about 72 years of age.
