Orville Weuve, 88, of Nevada, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at Bethany Manor in Story City.

Orville was born August 31, 1925, in rural Colo to Fred and Bertha (Yingst) Weuve. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was united in marriage to Lucille Stoll on July 29, 1946, in Minneapolis, Kansas. Orville worked for Iowa Corn Byproducts for 33 years as a manager and had also worked for the Heart of Iowa Coop in Colo. He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing.

Orville is survived by his children, Jerry Weuve of Ames and Vicki (Tom) Cashman of Nevada; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brothers, Ralph, Fred and Arnold “Mike” Weuve; and his sister, Edith Stuckmier. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; a son, Terry; his parents; five brothers, Pete, Melvin, Harold, Gerald and Leland; and one sister, Selma.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada with Pastor David Burling officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Lutheran Church in loving memory of Orville.
