Obituary for Cecil Stouwie Jr.

Cecil Stouwie Jr. went home to be with Jesus on March 15, 2014.

Cecil Jr. was born on Oct 28, 1938, in Oskaloosa, IA to Cecil and Bertha Ryken Stouwie. He married Carolyn Thompson on Oct 9, 1959. They were blessed with four children: Kenneth, Vonda, Barry and Sonja.

Cecil was a member of Ames Area Bowling Hall of Fame, owner of C & D Sanitation and Ames Area Recycling Center in Ames, IA.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, their four children: Kenneth Stouwie, Vonda LaFever, Barry Stouwie and fiancé Jolene Oxley, Sonja Chase and partner Dawn Guthrie; their nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren: Kenna (Scott) Marple, Sayer (Erica) Martin (Leighton and Campbell), Tyler (Kate) Martin, EllieJo LaFever, Brittany, Darren, Sydney and Jonah Stouwie, and Lynn Brown, plus one brother and six sisters. Cecil was met in Heaven by his parents, one brother, two sisters and one grandson Barry Stouwie II.

Dobies Funeral Home in New Port Richey, FL is handling the arrangements in Florida and
Bacon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements in Iowa. Visitation will be held on Saturday March 22, at noon, at Bacon Funeral Home on Fawcett Parkway Nevada, IA followed by a service at 1 PM. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery outside Nevada.
