O'Neil Rites 8 Thursday
Aged Woman Dies Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. P. O.'Neil, 87, mother of three Ames men, will be conducted Thursday at 8 a.m. in St. Cecelia church with Rev. N. Steffen in charge. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Livermore, Ia., under the direction of the Duckworth funeral home.
After 3 o'clock today the body will be at the O'Neil home, 112 Clark, where she died Tuesday morning.
Mrs. O'Neil, nee Mary Cosgrove, was born jan 10, 1855, at Dubuque, Ia. She was a pioneer of Humboldt county, Iowa, moving after her marriage, to a farm near Livermore where she spent most of her life. The O'Neils moved to Ames in 1914 so the children could attend Iowa State college.
Survivors include five sons and two daughters, D. J. O'Neil, C. J. O'Neil and P. H. O'Neil all os Ames. D. B. O'Neil of St. Louis, Mo, T. F. O'Neil of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Peter Riley of Robinsdale, Minn., and Mrs. Frank Durphy of Humboldt. Eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
