CHARLES "CHUCK" EDWARD OSTRICH

Charles "Chuck" Edward Ostrich, 78, of Ankeny, died Oct 17, 1989 at his home. Cause of death was a liver ailment.

Ostrich was born Dec. 4, 1910 at Luray, MO to A.E. and Elizabeth [Dennison] Ostrich. He moved from Story County to Ankeny in 1987. He was a long time resident of Story County.

He married Crystal Evelyn Johnson July 2, 1933 in Nevada. He was a retired automobile dealer, a member of the first United Methodist Church in Nevada and the Maxwell Lion's Club.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Ostrich and Gary Ostrich of Nevada, one daughter Marilyn Hersh of Des Moines; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.

Services were Oct. 20 at First United Methodist Church, Nevada. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery. Chet Ryan
