Obituary for David Eugene Boster

David Boster, 60, of Nevada, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at the Story County Hospital in Nevada.

David was born December 2, 1953, in Webster City, Iowa, the son of Gene and Dolores (Flockhart) Boster. David was united in marriage to Sally Teuscher December 11, 1982 in Story City, Iowa. Dave graduated from Roland-Story High School in 1972. David worked as a carpenter at Iowa State University since 1999 and had served on the Nevada Fire Department for 19 years. He was a member of the Nevada First United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Nevada Fire Department. Dave enjoyed woodworking, home brewing, cooking, gardening, camping and was an avid Iowa State Fan.

David is survived by his wife, Sally of Nevada; three daughters: Michelle Boster of Ames, Iowa, Anna (Matt) Litchfied of Nevada, Iowa, Whittney Boster of Gilbert, Arizona; his mother, Dolores Boster of Nevada; four grandchildren: Alexis, Dylan, Logan, Liam; and a sister: Lisa (Mark) Mathis of Roland, Iowa.

David was preceded in death by his father; his son: Garrett Boster; and his brother: Joni Boster.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada with Pastor Chris Waddle, officiating. Interment will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Nevada Fire Department.
