HATTIE HOLSEID

Hattie Sorenson Holseid, 88, of Nevada, died Saturday afternoon, Dec 19, 1981 at Story County Hospital. She had been a resident at Long Term Care the past two and one-half years.

She was born May 4, 1893 in Hubbard, the daughter of John and Carrie Olson Sorenson. On January 1, 1913, she married Ole Holseid at her parent's home near Garden City.

The couple farmed in the Zearing-McCallsburg area and near Granite Falls, Minn. for several years. They returned to Nevada in 1933 and Mr. Holsid was employed for several years by the City of Nevada.

Mrs. Holseid was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Nevada.

She is survived by three sons, Donald of Perry, Clifford of Des Moines and Fred of Des Moines; five daughters, Katherine Thomas of Mesa, Ariz., Dorothy Heintz of Clear Lake, Alta Titus of Collins, Thelma LaLonde of Pas Kenta, Calif., and Norma Harrison of Nevada; two brothers, Louie Sorenson of Nevada and Arnie Sorenson of Marshall, Minn.; a sister, Ada Hill of Story City; 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ole, on May 28, 1969, and by a sixteen-year-old daughter, Margaret, in 1935.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church, Nevada, with Rev. Dal Brumback officiating. Burial will follow at the Nevada Cemetery.
