Richard L. Myers
Nov. 3, 1934 to Feb. 29, 1992

Richard L. Myers, 57, of Des Moines died of a heart attack while playing golf at the Oaks Golf Course in Ames.

He was born Nov. 3, 1934, to Thomas and Rebecca (Ewalt) Myers in Story County and lived in the Nevada area prior to moving to Des Moines 12 years ago. He was an insurance agent for Bankers Life & Casualty.

He married Linda K. Geyer and was a member of Harvest Assembly of God Church in Huxley and the Teamsters Union No. 90 in Des Moines. He attended schools in Nevada and Gilbert.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of Des Moines; three daughters, Carolyn Friedrich of Liberal, Kans., Pat Anderson of Yuma, Ariz., and Kathy Myers of Ames; five grandchildren; five brothers, Robert and Ray, both of Ames, Bill of Nevada, Orville of Davenport, and Donald of Spokane, Wash.; three sisters, Annabelle Smith of Ames, Sandra Morrison of Ames and Mildred Keigley of Ames.

He was preceded in death by his parents and on brother, Dwayne.

Services were held March 4 at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. Burial will be at the Nevada Cemetery.
