ROBERT NEFF

Robert Edward Neff, 75, of Nevada died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1982 at Story County Hospital in Nevada.

He was born March 16, 1907 at a military base in Matanzas, Cuba, the son of Robert Henry and Pearl Loretta Cocksworth Neff, and was a 1925 graduate of Shipley High School.

On July 13, 1970 he married Ruth Johnson at the home of Rev. E.R. Walter in Nevada.

Mr. Neff worked for Swift and Co., n their general office in Chicago, then Lapps laboratories in Nevada. Before retiring he worked 40 years for Abe Mezvensky in the grocery store.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Karla Echevarris of San Diego, Calif., and Patti Jamison of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 12, at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with Rev. Harold Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

The family will meet friends at the Ryan Funeral Home Monday evening.
