Rites held for Lillian Wells

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today for Mrs. Lillian J. Wells, 67, Nevada, who died early Saturday at the Story County Hospital after along illness.

Services were held from the Cooper Funeral Home, Maxwell, with the Rev. Byron Surface, pastor of the Nevada Evangelical United Brethren Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mrs. Wells is survived by two sons, Gary of Nevada and Bruce Wells, Des Moines; five grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Geneva Lobaugh and a brother William Sylvester, both of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Wells who died in November of 1965.
