Carrie M. Moser
July 18, 1899 to Nov. 23, 1997Carrie M. Moser, 98, of Ames died of complications following a stroke on Nov. 23 at Mary Greeley Medical Center.
She was born July 18, 1899, in Milo to John Henry Adam Feight and Mary Louise Borchert.
On Feb. 22, 1922, she married Leo Moser. She lived as a homemaker. She lived in Humeston until 1935, lived in Story County since 1935 and lived in Ames since 1946. She was a member of the Ames Golden Agers, the Westside Church of Christ of Ames, and W.H.B.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Virginia Moser of Nevada; four daughters, Mildred Lange of Ames, Majorie Johnson of Marshalltown, Helen Black of Nevada and Doris Olson of Ames, 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1988, a son Merle in 1948, a great-grandson Shane Black in 1979, two brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.
