FRANCES A. LOGSDON

Frances A. Logsdon, 79, of Houston, Tex., died Friday, July 27, 1984 at Houston.

She was born April 3, 1905, at Nevada, Ia., to Chauncey E. and Henrietta Chester Airey. She graduated from Nevada High School with the class of 1923 and was later married to Clarence Logsdon.

Frances retired from Iowa Electric Light and Power Co. in 1970 and moved to Houston. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Houston.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 30, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston with Father Christian Mendenhall of Washington, D.C. officiating.

Graveside services will be held at Nevada Cemetery Tuesday, July 31, at 2:30 p.m.

Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada is in charge of local arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Mendenhall of Houston; a sister Nina Goodin of Muskogee, Okla., and two grandchildren, Father Christian Mendenhall of Washington, D.C., and Francie Mendenhall of New York, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Logsdon, and her parents.
