EVELYN IRENE LARSEN

Evelyn (Mrs. William) Irene Larsen, 87, of rural Nevada, died March 31, 1983 of heart failure at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4 at the Memorial Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Chadwick officiating. Burial will be at the Nevada Cemetery.

Evelyn Irene Rasmussen was born to Lars and Christinia (Rasmussen) Rasmussen on Oct 3, 1895 in Milford Towship. She was educated in the Milford Township Community School.

She was married to William Larsen on Sept. 8, 1915. William Larsen died on Oct 6, 1979. She was a lifelong resident of Milford Township and was residing on the Larsen home farm on May 5, 1983, when it became a Century Farm. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Memorial Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Edward C. Larsen, 935 Seventh St.; one daughter, Lucile (Mrs. Kenneth) Randall of Canoga Park, Calif.; two sisters, Ruby Nelston of rural Maxwell and Ruth Nelson of Boone; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Myton Larsen; son brother, Otto; four sisters, Lena Peterson, Mary Haugsted, Anna Sorensen and Ida Nelson; and a granddaughter, Julie Ann.

The family will receive friends at the Ryan Funeral Home Friday, June 3.
