Mrs. Carl T. Irish, 1204 9th St., died Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Story County Hospital in Nevada. She was 84.

Services held Tuesday, Nov. 16 were at Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada beginning at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Gehrald Riesen officiated with burial in the Nevada Cemetery. A memorial fund for Mrs. Irish has been established.

Born Nov. 29, 1891 at Lake City to Hans J. and Cordelia Eakin Hansen, she has been a resident of Nevada for the past 40 years. She was a former music instructor in the public schools at Salt Lake City, Utah and married Carl Irish there in 1936.

Mrs. Irish was a member of the Presbyterian Church, a former church circle member, a 50-year member of Eastern Star and a member of the Nevada Kensington Club.

Survivors include her step-sons Richard and Duncan Irish, both of Nevada; a daughter, Sue Squires of Palos Verdes Estate, Calif.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Patricia (John) Freeland of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Glenn Hansen of Hawarden, Frank Hansen of Tavaras, Fla. and Dwight Hansen of Menlo Park, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. A. D. Mason of Camden, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1968; son, Brice in 1972 and daughter, Patricia, in 1928.
