Mrs. Illingworth Dies Tuesday

STORY CITY--Mrs. Jennie Illingworth, 96, mother of P. E. Posegate of Story City, died Tuesday at the Anderson nursing home in Fort Dodge.

In frail health for more than a year, she had been hospitalized several times during that time. She had been in the nursing home for three months.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Laufersweiler funeral home in Fort Dodge. Burial will be in Nevada cemetery. G. W. Posegate, her husband, died in 1927 and is buried there. Mrs. Illingwith took her maiden name after her husband's death.

Two other sons survive besides P. E. Posegate. They are Thomas and Claude Posegate of Fort Dodge. Also two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Wisthoff of Lavinia and Mrs. Eddie Ness of Duncombe. A sister, Mrs. Henry Meyers of Maxwell and 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Illingworth was born in New York state Mar. 1, 1858. She came to Iowa with her parents when she was five. She was married to G. W. Posegate at Cambridge in 1879 and the couple farmed near Kelley and for several years. Later they moved to Zearing and from there to Nevada.

She had lived in Fort Dodge with her son Claude for several years before her death.
