Maude Hagensick
Feb. 19, 1908 to Sept. 18, 2001

Maude Hagensick, 93, of Grinnell, died on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Mayflower Home Health Care Center in Grinnell.

She was born Feb. 19, 1908, in the Blue Point area near Grinnell. She was raised n Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1926. In 1941, she married Mark A. Hagensick. The couple lived in Nevada and Marshlltown, where they operated the Poultry and Egg Produce Company. She moved to Grinnell in 1991.

Survivors include three step-grandchildren, Katy Gammack of Des Moines, Tom Gammack of Boseman, Mont., and Julie Gammack of Annapolis, Md.; and three sisters, Mary (Mae) Dean and Betty Dale, both of Grinnell, and Roberta Garrett of Carson, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two step-daughters, Kay Gammack and Margaret Ann Siegrist; four sisters, Bonnie Tiedemann, Martha Garrett, Bernice Zaugh and Clarencella "Tony" Hobbs; and an infant brother.

A graveside service was held Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Mayflower home Human Needs Fund. Smith Funeral Home, Grinnell, handled arrangements.
