Roger L. McLoud

Roger, from 108 North Center in Zearing Iowa, has passed away peacefully at his residence among his family on November 20, 2013. He was born May 5th, 1946 in LaPorte City, Iowa. he graduated from Ft Dodge High School in 1964. He then enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge on Nov, 15 1968. He then met, and married Virginia Eivins of Earlham, Iowa on February 8, 1969. their marriage was an example to all as he spent all of his years completely devoted to his wife and family. They were blessed with 6 children. Roger was a Limestone Miner for Martin Marrietta in Ames Iowa and retired from The National Veterinary Services Labs in Ames Iowa where he practiced his passion as an Animal Caretaker. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, and his 14 grandchildren. All of his hobbies were enjoyed most when shared with his family.

Roger was preceded in passing by his Parents, 6 siblings and a Grandaughter.

Roger is survived by his wife, his 6 children, Clint McLoud (Christy), Chad McLoud (Missy), Drew McLoud (Terri), JoAnna McKinney, Sarah Reistroffer (Tony), and Shaun McLoud (Misty), His 14 Grandchildren, His Brother Dave McLoud of Callendar Iowa and His sister Georgia Rayphole of Belvidere IL.

Roger, will be laid to rest in the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing Iowa by his immediate family. Memorial Service will be held Friday November 29, 2013 at 1030 AM at Bethel United Methodist Church in Zearing, Iowa.
Arrangements are being handled by Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing Iowa.
