Harold Earl Rasmusson, 87, of Zearing, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at his home.

Harold was born April 11, 1926, in Nevada to Chrissie and Mary (Wyatt) Rasmusson. He graduated from McCallsburg High School in 1943 and was united in marriage to Regina Ricke on June 20, 1950, at St. Peters and Paul Catholic Church in Gilbert. Harold was a devoted member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Zearing and the L.I.C.A. He owned and operated Rasmusson Construction Company for many years. Harold enjoyed reading, camping and being with his family.

Harold is survived by his sons, Steven (Ann) Rasmusson of Epworth, David (Liz) Rasmusson of St. Anthony and Larry (Angela) Rasmusson of Nevada; his daughters, Karen (David) Toot of Nevada and Diana (Kevin) Bell of Colo; his brother Harlan (Mary Lou) Rasmusson of Nevada; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2004; and his parents.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Nevada. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013, also at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Rick Dagit officiating. Private family burial will be in the Colo Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Harold.
