Obituary

Francis Marion, son of Simon G. and Cynthia A. Bonebrake was born near Veedersburg, Indiana, February 15, 1851, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roy Keeney, west of Kelley, Iowa, August 9, 1932, being at the time of his death, 81 years, 5 months and 21 days old. He came with his parents to Iowa at the age of two where he spent all his life. He was united in marriage to Mary Frances Widerman Jones in August, 1864. She preceded in death in 1926. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. C. N. McCaskey who preceded him in death September, 1924 and Mrs. Roy Keeney of near Kelley, at whose home he died. One stepson preceded him in death. He leaves besides his daughter, one stepdaughter Mrs. J. E. Coffman of 609 Grand avenue, Ames, and four granddaughters, Wanda McCaskey of Ames, Bessie Keeney of Kelley, Mrs. Walter Hill of Baltimore, Maryland, Mrs. Thornton Noble of Vinton, Iowa, also three sisters, Mrs. George Clark of Clinton, Mrs. J. A. Heacock of Sac City, Mrs. Paul Peterson of Ames. In early life he became a member of the Church of Christ and remained true to his faith. He transferred his membership in the Zenorsville Evangelical church in 1913.
