Geraldine Yvonne Sorensen
Feb. 5, 1924 to Sept. 18, 2002

Geraldine Yvonne Sorensen, 78, of Nevada died Wednesday, Sept. 18, at her home from a heart ailment.

She was born Feb. 5, 1924, at Nevada to Arthur and Bertha (Johannsen) Huebner. She attended school in Nevada and graduated in 1942. She served in the Marines Corps during World War II. She married Kermit C. Sorensen on Sept. 28, 1946, in Fremont, Neb. She was a homemaker, but had worked at Donnelley Marketing in Nevada for a few years. She enjoyed collecting plates.

Survivors include a son, Kent Sorensen of Nevada; and a brother, Wayne Huebner of Marengo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit; and the daughter, Linda Sorensen.

Graveside funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 23, at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. David Burling officiating. Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada handled arrangements.
