Obituary for Larry Dean Millang

Larry was born January 28, 1941 near Randall, Iowa to Archie and Florence (Severseike) Millang. He graduated from Randall High School where he played all four years in basketball and baseball. He attended Iowa State University where he also played basketball and baseball. Larry married Sheralyn "Sherry" Stoddard on August 3, 1963. He was a member of the Iowa State Letter Winners Club. Larry loved golf, Kentucky basketball and his dog Daisy. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and greatly loved by his family.

Larry was a financial executive for General Electric Company for 28 years and then was Chief Financial Officer for Polk county.

Larry passed away October 18, 2013 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames at 72 years of age.

Larry is survived by wife, Sherry Millang of Ankeny; his children, Dana (Deedee) Millang of Fort Meyers, Florida, Shauna (Charly) Garton of Waukee, Bret “Scooter” (Katie) Millang of Boca Raton, Florida and Scott Millang of West Des Moines; and six grandchildren, Kendall, Lauren, Cameron, Jacob, Abby and Marissa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
