Norma Briley
April 25, 1911 to June 30, 2001

Norma Briley, 92, of Nevada, died Saturday, June 30, at Mary Greeley Medical Center of complications of a stroke.

She was born April 25, 1911, to Samuel and Effie (Taylor) Ayers in Minnesota. She married Joseph Briley on March 29, 1933 in Omaha, Neb. Norma was a bookkeeper at the Chevrolet Garage in Nevada for many years and also at Donnelley Marketing. She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church and the Indian Creek Country Club. She loved sports and golf.

Survivors include her husband, Joe, of Nevada; one son, Lynn Briley of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Marlyn Schultz of Rogers City, Mich., and two grandchildren.

Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada with the Rev. Myron Herzberg officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Chair Fund at Memorial Lutheran Church. The Bacon Funeral Home, Nevada, handled arrangements.
