JORDAN

A large crowd of friends gathered at the Jones Funeral home Sunday afternoon to pay the last respects of the late Mr. Stevens, father of Mrs. Lorne Smylie of this vicinity. The Rev. Sutton of the Boone Christian church had charge of the short services. The body was then taken to McGregor where the regular funeral services were held, burial being in the Moody cemetery of that city. Supt. and Mrs. Smylie accompanied the body to McGregor. Mr. Stevens had made his home with his only daughter, Mrs. Smylie and family for past five years. Friends in this community extend their sympathy to the bereaved family.
