Father of Ames Man Dies Tues.

J. O. Whitaker, 82, father of Frank Whitaker of Ames, died at 1 a. m. Tuesday at his home in Fairfield, Ill. Funeral services will be at Fairfield Thursday.

Mr. Whitake was a first lieutenant in the Civil war. He last visited Ames in 1920.
