Obituary

Zora Opal Alexander, 88, of Nevada died Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, where she had undergone heart surgery. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, and burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Mrs. Alexander was born in Pilot Mound and had lived in Nevada since 1958. She was a retired bookkeeper and member of Nevada United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Surviving are her husband, Albert; a son, Garry of Ames; a daughter, Patricia Rodick of Summit City, Calif.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
