MRS. E. O. CARTER

Mrs. Anna Addison Carter of El Centro, Calif., wife of Dr. E. O. Carter of El Centro, and eldest daughter of E. H. Addison of Maxwell, passed away at her home in Southern California at 7:30 Saturday morning according to word reaching relatives of Maxwell.

Mrs. Carter was a native of Polk county. She was a graduate of the Maxwell high school and of Cornell College, Mt. Vernon. For several years she taught in the Nevada schools.

She is survived by her husband, to whom she was married in Nevada on November 5, 1908, also by her two sons, Addison Carter and James Carter, of El Centro, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Addison of Maxwell, a sister Mrs. H. M. Vinsel of Nevada and a brother, James Addison of Des Moines, in addition to other relatives and friends who are legion.
