Evelyn Grace Lodestein
January 2, 1925 - June 26, 2013

Evelyn Grace Lodestein, 88 of Nevada died on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Per her wishes, her body has been donated to the Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14 in the First United Methodist Church, 1036 7th Street in Nevada with Pastor Chris Waddle officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the Cambridge Cemetery.

Evelyn was born on January 2, 1925 in Rock Elm, WI to Marion and Alta (Ottman) Reasoner. She moved to Cambridge, IA in 1928 and then graduated from Graettinger High School in 1938. Evelyn married Laurence "Lolly" Lodestein in Kansas City, MO and they resided in North Hollywood, CA from 1952 until their return to Cambridge in October of 1987. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, church choir and the Heartland Songbirds.

Evelyn is survived by a sister-in-law Georgia Reasoner of Moss Point, MS; a niece Georgia Marie (Reasoner) Stork also of Moss Point, MS; 2 step-nephews Talmadge Estis of Slidell, LA and Lamar Estis of Gauthier, MS; many other nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Lolly" on June 19, 1989, two brothers infant Marion Reasoner Jr. and Orville Reasoner.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Evelyn.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Evelyn and her family.
