Wallace Joel Olsan
May 30, 1930 - June 14, 2013

Wallace "Wally" Joel Olsan, 83 of West Des Moines died on Friday, June 14, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19 at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada with Rev. Laura Evans-Mahn officiating. Private burial rites will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Wally was born on May 30, 1930 in Nevada to Milos "Mike" and Hazelle (Patten) Olsan. He was a graduate of Nevada High School and Drake University. In 1957, Wally was united in marriage to Lois M. French. He was a member of the award-winning West Des Moines Dixieland Band. Wally was an avid lifelong Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching sports. He will be remembered for his sense of humor.

Wally is survived by his wife Lois Olsan of West Des Moines and a street full of loving neighbors.
Preceding Wally in death was his parents and a brother Wayne Olsan.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Wally and his family.
