Goldie Ione Eller
October 1, 1930 - March 25, 2013

Goldie Ione (Miller) Eller, 82 of Nevada died on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 at the First United Methodist Church, 1036 7th Street in Nevada with Deacon Brenda Hobson officiating. Burial will follow in the Colo Cemetery.

Goldie was born October 1, 1930 in Forest City to Bert and Frances R. (Ruesink) Miller. On August 20, 1950, she married Robert Gerald Eller in Colo. Goldie retired from ISU Vet Med as an animal care taker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, sewing and baking.

Goldie is survived by three sons, Cary (Roberta) Eller of Cedar Falls, James (Cheryl) Eller of Ames and Larry (Marla) Eller of Nevada; three daughters, Sheila (James) Eller of Story City, Donnelle (Neal) Eller Heldt of Des Moines and Michelle (Steve) Bellile of Nevada; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob on March 20, 1999, three brothers Al (Shirley) Miller, Herman Miller, and Harold Miller.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27 with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Goldie for the Israel Family Hospice House or the Story County Senior Care.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Goldie and her family.
