Helen Jacobson
Oct. 30, 1916-Sept. 14, 1995

Helen Jacobson, 78, of Story City died Thursday of cancer at Colonial Manor in Zearing. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City, with the Revs.Stephen Anenson and Tom Hunt Officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in Story City Cemetery.

Helen Mortvedt was born near Story City to Osmund and Margaret (Henryson) Mortvedt. On March 25, 1939, she married Richard G. Jacobson in Story City. Mrs. Jacobson had been a resident of Story City for most of her life and had been employed as a nurse's aide at Story City Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Jacobson is survived by her husband of Story City; two daughters Julie Chambliss of Dothan, Ala., and Beverly Wallace of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, three sisters, Marie Risdal of Arkansas, Theola Clarke of Portland, Ore., and Doris Harms of Waverly; and two brothers, Donald and Walter Mortvedt, both of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

The Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
