Funeral services for Nora G. Jacobson were held Fril, Feb. 18 at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City. pastor Orville Sanderson officiated. Music was by the Waldorf College Men's quartet of Chad Kammin, Craig Swenson, Dan Mork and Greg Boman sang "Softly and Tenderly" and "Thy Lord is my Shepherd." Accompanists were Louise Olson, Organist, and Mrs. LeRoy Mick, pianist. Greetings were brought by Pastor Everett Nelson of Salem Lutheran Church, Roland, and by Mr. Skip Jacobson, who spoke in behalf of the family.

Casket bearers were Orlin Anderson, Clayton Fardal, Fritz Guderion, Harold Enderson, Dean Fardal and Matthew Fardal. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery.

Nora Gertie (Fardal) Jacobson, daughter of Nels N. and Gunhilds Fardal ws born March 29, 1902, on a farm south of Stanhope, Ia. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and later transferred her membership to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. She attended school at Stanhope until moving with her family to Story City in 1921, completing her education there. Previous to her marriage she taught school for five years.

On Nov. 25, 1925, she ws united in marriage to Arvie S. Jacobson. For 54 years the couple farmed and during the past 32 years they also operated the Jacobson Feed and Seed Store.

Her grandchildren were a source of pleasure to her, she was interested in flowers and gardening, participated in school and community activities and enjoyed music-- having been the organist in the Salem Lutheran Church in Roland for 25 years.

Mrs. Jacobson passed away at Mary Greeley Hospital, in Ames, on Tues., Feb. 12 at the age of 77 years, 10 months, 15 days.

She is survived by her husband, Arvie; four children, Paul of Des Moines, Richard of Iowa City, Donna (Mrs. Dewayne Kammin) of Story City, and Allan of Atlanta, Fla; eight grandchildren, Richard Jr., Douglas and William Jacobson, Cathy, Cynthia (Mrs. Gary Blomberg), and Chad Kammin, and Wade and Jill Jacobson; also one brother, Guy Fardal of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and one sister, Emma (Mrs. Theroy Wierson) of Story City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and her two brothers.
