ELMER S. MORTVEDT

Funeral services for Elmer S. Mortvedt, 83, Story City, were held Oct. 22 from the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. C.A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery.

Mr. Mortvedt was born Nov. 5, 1891 near Radcliffe. He married Selma Ose Oct. 29, 1919. He farmed near Ellsworth until 1947, when he retired to Ames. In 1956 he moved to Story City.

He died Oct. 20 at Story City Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Sylvina Satre of Story City and Mrs. Lillian Anderson of Adel; two sons, LuVerne of Ellsworth and Everett of Roland; 18 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Ben of Story City and Palmer of Folsom, Calif; and a sister, Mrs. A.R. Stokke of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.
