MRS. JULIA SWENSON

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Swenson, 69, Story City, were held July 12 from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. C. A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial was in Story City Cemetery.

Mrs. Swenson died at Mary Greeley Hospital July 9, 1971.

Julia Enderson Swenson was born on a farm in Hamilton County near Stanhope on Aug 30, 1901, the daughter of Omen and Belinda Enderson. She was baptized and confirmed in Clear Lake and Ellsworth Township Hauges Church.

In 1918, she moved with her parents to Story City. She attended a business college in Cedar Rapids and worked at the First National Bank in Story City from 1923 until 1928.

She was married to Myron Swenson Sept 10, 1925. He preceded her is death Oct. 25, 1939.

She began working at the Story County State Bank in Story City in 1941 and continued there until her retirement in December 1969.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City.

Survivors include two sons, Ardis LaVerne, Waukee and Jerrold LeRoy, Ames; a daughter, Mrs. Arlen Tweedt, Slater; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Andrew and Thomas both of Story City, Jacob of Northfield, Minn., and Issac, Blue Earth, Minn.; and two sisters, Isabelle Madson and Sarah Paulson, both of Story City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.

Pallbearers were Alvin Madson, Orlin Enderson, Tilford Enderson, Donald Hanson, Donald Paulson, Duane Paulson.
