SAM C. HANSON

Funeral services for Sam C. Hanson were held Jan. 24 at the champel in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City with the Rev. C. A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial was in Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Sam C. Hanson, son of Gust and Johanna Hanson, was born on a farm five miles southwest of Story City, Dec. 18, 1898.

He was a veteran of World War I. He was employed at Iowa State University for some time before he went to Albert Lea, Minn. about 18 years ago. He died Jan 22 at the Raymond Nursing Home in Austin, Minn., where he had been a short time following several months at Veteran Hospital, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Survivors include two brother, Cornelius Hanson and Clarence Hanson, both of Story Coty, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers.

Pallbearers were Howard Flemming, Edward Anderson, Arnold Hanson, Magne Idse, Ole Valen and Herbert Egenes.
