MRS. ANSEL SWENSON

Funeral services for Mrs. Ansel (Orlene) Swenson, 59, Story City were held Jan. 6, 1971 at 2 p.m. from St. Petri Lutheran Church with the Rev. Rhuben O. Aga officiating. Burial was in the Story Municipal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harold Holm, Silas Jacobson, Bennet Frette, Burnice W. Jacobson, Arnold G. Johnson and Gaylen Johnson.

Survivors include her husband Ansel, a son Bruce, Story City; a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Lana) Olson, St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Melbourne Borwick, Ellsworth; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Teigland, Randall; Mrs. Herbert Millang, Story City; Mrs. Earl Quam, Austin, Minn. and one granddaughter.

Orlene Gertrude Swenson was born July 26, 1912 on a farm near Radcliffe to Ben and Lizzie Borwick. She was baptized and confirmed in Elim Lutheran Church in Randall.

On Feb. 24, 1940 she married Ansel Swenson. In 1943 they moved to Story City where they have resided since.

Mrs. Swenson died Jan. 3, 1971, while on her way to work at the Roland-Story Community Schools.
