Services Tues. at St. Petri

STORY CITY -- Services for Thomas A. Johnson, 86, were held Thuesday at 2 p.m. in the St. Petri Lutheran Church at Story City. The Rev. Rolfe S. Johnstad officiated with burial in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Johnson died Saturday morning at Bethany Manor in Story City. He had been in ill health since last October.

Born April 18, 1888 in Hamilton County to Ole J. and Laura Johnson, he married Anna Larson on October 21, 1915. They farmed in the Story City area until their retirement to Story City.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Orlin (Ovella) Anderson of Story City; on son, Ernest L. Johnson of Ankney; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Clarence of Jewell and Lewis of Annaheim, Calif., and two sisers: Mrs. Alma Sansgaard of Story City and Mrs. Olive Hanson of Boise, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother, James and one sister, Sena.
