STORY CITY BOY
DIED ON OCEAN
AND WAS BURIED

A telegram was received that told of the death of two soldiers, who were on their way to the battlefields in France. Andrew Peterson died on board ship while outward bound at sea. Clifton Wier, died in three days after reaching land and was buried in the foreign country. The former was the son of Chris Peterson and latter the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Wier, both families being residents of Story City. Mr. Wier left in July and Mr. Peterson in August. Both young men died o pneumonia and there was but a day's difference in the time of their death.
