Theoroy Jennings Jacobson
June 28, 1910-Nov. 30, 1995Theoroy Jennings Jacobson, 85, of Story City died Thursday at Mary Greeley Medical Center of pulmonary distress. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City, with the Rev. Rolfe Johnstad officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery.
The son of Andrew and Synneva Jacobson, Mr. Jacobson was a farmer. He lived on a farm west and south of Story City until he moved into town in 1975. Mr. Jacobson married Helen Edith Hill on July 6, 1932, in Preston, Minn.
Mr. Jacobson is survived by his wife of the Colonial Manor in Zearing; four sons, John Jacobson of Mesa, Ariz., Thomas Jacobson of Bloomington, Calif., and David and Charles of Story City; three daughters, Barbara Fossel of Cedar Rapids, Ruth Ann Brown of Omaha, Neb., and Thelma Johnson of Nevada; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, one sister, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 3 p.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
