Rites Saturday for Dr. Oshel

Dale D. Oshel, DVM, 52, 1219 Harding Ave., died at Mary Greeley Hospital June 2.

Funeral services will be Satuday at 1 p.m. from Steven Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Davies of the Collegiate Presbyterian Church officiating.

Dr. Oshel was born Oct. 20, 1918 in Gardner, Kan. He graduated from Kansas University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and from Michigan State University with a masters degree. He has been employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 24 years.

Dr. Oshel came to Ames in 1961 from East Landing, Mich.

He was a member of Collegiate Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Oshel belonged to many professional organizations and Sigma Xi and Society of Phi Zeta.

He is a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include is wife, Helen; three sons, David and Philip, both of Ames and Robert of Mankato, Minn.; two brothers, Warren of California and loren of Michigan; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Omer Oshel, Olatha, Kan.

Friends may call at Stevens Memorial Chapel Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. from 7 to 9 p.m.
