Obiturary

LAWRENCE B. LUND

Funeral service sfor Lawrence B. Lund were held in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, on Aug. 28 with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating.

Born at Northwood on June 23, 1891, he came with his parents to Stanhope when an infant.

He graduated from Waldorf College, Forest City, in 1912, attended Commerial College in Des Moines in 1914 and served in the army during World War I.

On March 23, 1921, he married Lila Hanson, They farmed near New London, Minn., for 11 years after their marriage, then returned to Story City.

He is survived by his wife, six children, Harvey of Claredon Hills, Ill., Donald of Webster City, Mrs. Laurentia Handeland of Cherokee, Walter, Mrs. Marjorie Ollestad, Mrs. Margaret Fate, all of Story City; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Marvick, Story City and 17 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a brother and a sister.

Pallbearers were Embert Monsen, E. J. Fardal, E. H. Fardal, Benjamin Anderson, Gaylord Jacobson and Carl Johnson. Burial was at the Story City Cemetery.
