Services for Mrs. Mary Nelson

Mrs. Mary Nelson, 92, Story City, died* at the Story City Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since July 28.

She was born in Denmark on Aug 23, 1878 to Nels and Stena Paulson. When she was a year old they came to the United States and settled on a farm near Jewell.

On Dec. 18, 1901 she was married to Hans Nelson, and the couple farmed west of Story City.

In 1965 she moved to the Webster City Nursing home and the past year had been a resident of Story City Bethany Manor.

Funeral servies will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Grace United Methodist Church in Story City, with the Rev. Paul Beckman officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Tressler, Marshalltown; one son, Leroy, Webster City; five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; one sister, Neah Paulson, Story City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, and three sisters.

The body will lie in state at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home, Story City.
