Emelia House

Emelia House, 99, Bethany Manor, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1982 at Bethany Manor. Mrs. House had been a resident there since 1958.

She was born Feb. 16, 1883 at Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Marvick and moved to Story City as a child.

Emelia and her brother, Albert Marvick, homesteaded in Wyoming. It was there she met Gustav House and was married. Following his death she and the children moved to Minneapolis. After retiring, she moved to Story City.

Survivors include one son, Helmer, Osseo, Minn.; and one daughter, Mrs. Marian Grenharms, Bay City, Wis.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (today) at 10 a.m. at Bethany Manor Chapel. Chaplain Enoch Hall will be in charge. A second service will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Chapel at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Orville Sanderson will be in charge.

Burial will be at the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
