MRS G. GUNSTEN

Mrs. Gustav Gunsten (nee Jenny Sophie Tokheim) was born May 9, 1888, at Story City, the oldest daughter of George S. and Anna Tokheim. June 20, 1908 she was married to Rev. Gustav Gunsten. The first three years of wedded life were spent in Oconomowoc, Wis., where Rev. Gunsten was pastor of Our Savior's church. The next ten years the family lived at Fennimore, Wis., where Rev. Gunsten served the Blue River and Hickory congregations and Trinity congregation in Boseabel. Since 1914 the family has had its home in Clarement, Iowa, with the Clermont East, Clermont and Highland congregations.

Surviving Mrs. Gunsten are her husband, four children, Esther, Gerhard, Stanley and Alfred; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. R. Tokheim, Story City; her brother, Sam G. Tokheim, also of Story City, and her sister Clara (Mrs. Alfred Adsem) of Minneapolis, Minn.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: According to her headstone in the Story City Cemetery, "Sophie" Gunsten died 12 September 1935.
