Michael Quam, Story City, died

Michael Quam, 78, Story City, died Thursday afternoon at the Story City Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday from Bethany Manor Chapel, Story City, with the Rev. M. C. Hagedorn officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Quam was born Aug. 29, 1894, west of Story City. He farmed near Story City until his retirement. In 1969 he moved to Story City. He and his wife Erma moved to Bethany Manor in 1971.

Survivors include his wife and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Sodersturm-Larson Funeral Home, Story City, Sunday until time of service.

MICHAEL QUAM

Funeral services for Michael Quam, 78, Story City, were held February 26 from Bethany Manor Chapel with the Rev. M. C. Hagedorn officiating. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Quam died February 22 at the Story City Hospital.

Mr. Quam was born Aug. 29, 1894 on a farm west of Story City in Hamilton County. His parents were Peder and Ingeborg Quam.

He farmed on the home farm west of Story City until his retirement in 1969 when he moved to Story City. In 1971, he and his wife Erma moved to Story City Bethany Manor.

Survivors include his wife, Erma Quam, Story City; several nieces adn nephews.

Pallbearers were Virgil Hanson, Truman West, Walter Williams, Reubin Nibe, Howard Quam and Ingeborg Quam.
