Margaret Charlotte Lee, 97 of Maxwell died on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Story County Senior Care in Nevada. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 15 at the Maxwell Christian Church, 201 Main Street in Maxwell with her son Pastor Tom Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Cambridge Cemetery.

Margaret was born on May 1, 1915 in White Oak, IA to George Blackman and Irene (Bundy) McHone. She was a graduate of White Oak High School. On November 8, 1939, Margaret was united in marriage to Carol Emery Lee in Maxwell. She was employed at Donnelley Marketing, Bourns, and the USDA in Ames. Margaret enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Carole Ann (Garey) Smith and Mary Jo (Alan) Wilson; two sons John (Rosi) Lee and Tom (Susan) Lee, all of Maxwell; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Belva McHone of Ankeny and Patricia Holsteen of Lancaster, CA.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carol on December 23, 2003, two sisters Lucille and Arlene and a brother Harold.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14 with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. again at the Maxwell Christian Church.

A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Margaret.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Margaret and her family.
