Velma L. Sartori, 89, of Colo, formerly of Colorado, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the State Center Nursing and Rehab Center in State Center.

Velma was born August 20, 1923, to Earl and Sarah Gillenwater. She graduated from Delta High School in Colorado and in 1950 married Louie Raymond Sartori in Colorado Springs, CO. Velma enjoyed quilting and sewing.

Velma is survived by her sons, Richard (Nancy) Sartori of Colo, Dean (Linda) Sartori of Denver, CO, Larry (June) Sartori of San Bernardino, CA and Chris Sartori of Long Island, NY; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Melvin “Bud” (Bonnie) Gillenwater of Oklahoma; her sisters, Delores Triantos of Delta, CO and Helen Mayes of Grand Junction, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Velma has been cremated and a service will be held later in Colorado.

Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
