Mrs. Knudson of Story City Dies
STORY CITY -- Mrs. Louise Knudson, 76, died at 12:45 a.m. today at the home of Mrs. Henry Sevold where she had lived for the past 22 months.
Mrs. Knudson had been in failing health for some time. She was born in Story City and live in or near here all her life.
Funeral will be Sunday at Grace EUB Church here at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. W. D. Winter in charge. Burial will be in Story City Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Larson Funeral Home until Sunday forenoon.
Survivors are four daughters--Duella (Mrs. Leslie) Alber, Seattle; Irene (Mrs. Fred) Courtney, Long Beach, Calif.; and son Leslie, Westminister, Calif.; four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Christine Barlish, Huntington Park, Calif.
Mrs. Knudson's husband preceded her in death.

Mrs. Louise Knudson
STORY CITY--Mrs. Louis Knudson, daughter of Carlie and Christina Shultz, was born on a farm near Story City Dec 28, 1875. She was reared there and was married to Thomas L. Knudson.
The couple set up housekeeping in Story City and lived there most of the time thereafter.
Eight children were born to the couple, three dying in infancy. Five surviving are Mrs. Duella Alber, Seattle; Mrs. Irene Courtney, Long Beach, Calif.; Leslie, Westminister, Calif.; Mrs. Alice Sevold, Ames, and Mrs. Dorothy Truesdell, Santa Monica, Calif. Four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and sister, Mrs. Christina Barlish, California, also survive.
Mr. Knudson died in 1926.
Mrs. Knudson was night telephone operator in Story City many years. She was a charter member of Grace EUB Church and a state member of the Pythian Sisters.
She had lived with Mrs. Sevold since July, 1954. She died Friday morning at 76.
Funeral was Sunday at Grace Church was the Rev. W. D. Winter officiating. Burial was in Story City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Irvin Jensen, Sylvan Skeie, Harvey Skeie, Robert Harris, Gaylord Johnson and George W. Sowers.
