Kathy Sue Williams
August 8, 1963 - December 26, 2012

Kathy S. (Lock) Williams 49, of Muscatine, formerly of Nevada died on Wednesday December 26, 2012 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Chet Ryan Mortuary 708 Fifth Street in Nevada. Burial will be held at a later date in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Kathy Sue Williams was born on August 8, 1963 in Nevada to Ronald and Doris (Peek) Lock. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1981 and went on to receive her degree as a Medical Transcriptionist, graduating with Honors.

Kathy was a homemaker and loved collecting frogs and M&M memorabilia. She had a deep love for animals, a caring heart and a joyful spirit.

Left to honor Kathy's memory are one son Ryan Williams of Ames; one daughter Christina (Josh) Waggoner of Atlantic; three grandchildren Steven Kelly, James and Alyssa Waggoner; her father Ronald Lock of Huxley; companion Rick Boots of Muscatine; two sisters Ronda (James) Johnson of Newton and Sherry Tjarks of Strafford MO; numerous nieces and nephews and ex-husband Scott Williams of Ames.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother Doris on March 3, 2009 and brother Steven on May 19, 1986.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30 from 2-4:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Kathy.

Chet Ryan Mortuary has been entrusted with the care of Kathy and her family.
