Sudden Death of John Hill at Home at Story City

Story City, April 4--John Hill, 57, member of the firm of Hill Bros., butter tub manufacturers, was found dead in his bed at his home here at 7 a. m. today, by his sister Marie, when she entered his room to call him. Death was due to heart attack and it is thought he had passed away about 5:30 a. m.

The deceased, a bachelor, made his ome with his aged mother, Mrs. Hactor Hill and sister Miss Marie, a teacher in the Story City schools.

He had lived in Story City practically his entire life, of later years being associated with his brothers Bert Hill and Torkel Hill in the manufacturing business. But a few years ago he succeeded his brother Bert as chief of the Story City volunteer fire department and had always been active and borne his share in the conduct of public and civic affairs.

Besides his mother he leaves his brothers, Bert and Torkel of Story City, Edwin of Wausau, Wis., and Sanford of Omaha, and sisters, Mrs. Tom B. Olson of Story City, Mrs. Ole Endreland of Thompson, Marie Hill of Story City, Mrs. W. B. Coulter of Washington, D. C., Miss Selma Hill a teacher at Hubbard and Miss Judith Hill, a teacher at Waverly.

The time and place of the funeral have not been determined as of yet.

Funeral Rites for John Hill Saturday

Story City, April 5--Funeral services for the late John Hill, 57, who died very suddenly at the home of his mother, Mrs. Hactor Hill, here early Tuesday, will be held at Bethel Lutheran church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, following a prayer service at the home at 1:30. The service will be in charge of his pastor, Rev. A. J. Bringle. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery in charge of Story City post, American Legion, of which he was a member.
