Lenora "Len" Dixon of Nevada, Iowa died peacefully at her home in Nevada, Friday, December 7, 2012.

Len was born Exline, Iowa, the daughter of William and Bessie (Williams) Evans. Len had worked at Holiday Inns in Ames and Des Moines, the Nevada Journal and owned Nevada Floral with her husband George. Len enjoyed sending birthday cards to her friends and relatives, solving crossword puzzles, and had the rare talent of playing the piano by ear. She was a kind hearted simple woman who lived in Nevada for over sixty years.

Len is survived by her daughter: Claudia Nehring of Nevada, Iowa; a son: Kirk (DeVonna) Dixon of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and two grandchildren: Joe Nehring and Maria Nehring.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, and a half-brother.

Per Len's wishes, she has been cremated and no services are planned.

Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
